Google said that Secure HTTPS/SSL Sites have more weighted in search ranking that normal http websites. So now if you want top rank in Google search ranking then you witching your site from HTTP to HTTPS.
Means now Google will give more weightage to HTTPS/SSL Sites than HTTP sites. The high Secure site will now showing easily in Google search engine (SEO points of view). Google also support in webmaster tools to better handle HTTPS sites.
